Ocean Life Lecture Series 2012  Presented by Friends of the Key Largo Cultural Center, visitors are welcome to participate in the new Ocean Life Lecture Series; topics include Sea Turtles (April 20); Coral Reefs & Human Systems (May 18); World Oceans Day (June 8); Florida Everglades (July 20). Meet-and-greet- reception is at 6 p.m., lecture begins at 7 p.m. Tickets $10 per adult, students are free. Held at the theater inside the Murray E. Nelson Cultural Center, MM 102.

Key Largo / April 28

Brew on the Bay  Presented by the Key Largo Rotary Club, this Craft Beer & Home Brewers tasting event is to feature more than 30 microbrews. Event is to be located at Rowell’s Marina grounds, at mile marker 106.8 bayside, from 12-5 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Scholarship Foundation. Tickets $35 in advance, $40 at the door, $60 VIP tickets include T-shirt, priority parking and noon admission.

Migration Mania at Key West Botanical Gardens  Migration Mania continues, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with The Great Butterfly Bonanza theme.
