   Third Annual Outdoor Fest
     Nature, wildlife and adventure enthusiasts can discover the unique plant, bird and animal species and habitats that make up the Florida Keys ecosystem. The action-packed festival offers an up-close exploration of four Florida Keys national wildlife refuges, spotlighting species including the miniature Key deer found only in the Lower Keys. Most of the family-friendly outdoor adventures and experiences are offered free of charge.

Third Annual Islamorada Seafood Festival & Art Show
A festival benefiting Moose charities, featuring delicious, inventive seafood samplings from local chefs, with libations, local craft beers available. Showcasing works by Keys artisans, live music and family fun – a festive day for adults and children alike, as well as being pet-friendly. Free admission. Seafood Samplings are cash only. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Islamorada Moose Lodge, at 81573 Old Highway.

   View and cast your vote! Each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at The Florida Keys History & Discovery Center at The Islander Resort, MM 82, Islamorada, original works of art are to be displayed by local artists. Art Guild of the Purple Isles is the center for visual art activities in the Upper Keys endeavoring to make art a prominent part of the community.

   Enjoy an enlightening trolley ride through time. Guided trolley tours depart at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon. from the Islamorada Moose Lodge at 81573 Old Highway in Islamorada.The one-hour, colorful and much acclaimed historical tours feature 29 points of interest on the islands of Islamorada. Tickets may be purchased on site or call in advance. Adults are $15, children six and under are free. Tour dates are March 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31.

Leonard Bernstein had a talent for wowing young fans with his flamboyant style and flair for pedagogy. His creative gifts knew few bounds, as he moved easily between podium, piano and television screen. Indeed, no other musician had ever captivated such a broad spectrum of the American public as Bernstein did.The movie, which is being sponsored by Kenny Weschler, is free and open to the public. Join the signature head-shaving event to raise funds for lifesaving childhood cancer research. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. With a goal of raising $5,000, Lucy’s, located at 320 Grinnell Street, will host its second St. Baldrick’s Block Party on St. Patrick’s Day. The event will be complete with face painting, food and drink specials, live entertainment, and a signature head-shaving event. From noon to 11 p.m.

Tour a series of elegant and unique private homes of Key West, ranging from exquisite restorations to creative renovations, and interior design that complements each. February and March tours are offered 10 am to 4 pm each day. Transportation between homes is not provided. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 on tour days. Proceeds benefit the foundation’s Oldest House Museum, grant and scholarship programs.

More than 40 species of fish are targeted during these months, with divisions for men, women, junior anglers (ages 10 to 14) and Pee Wees (under 10 years old). The Key West Fishing Tournament strongly encourages the release of game fish. All participating anglers receive certificates noting their catches and qualify for a variety of prizes.
