Showcasing the fine arts, music and culinary nuances of the Purple Isles, the Morada Way Arts & Cultural District features national and local artisans who are showcased in galleries at Morada Way between mile marker 81 and 82, as well as “culinary art,” beer tastings and live music from 6-9 p.m. A great pre-holiday celebration. Free admission. Art Walk is held the third Thursday of each month.

More than 40 species of fish are targeted during these months, with divisions for men, women, junior anglers (ages 10 to 14) and Pee Wees (under 10 years old). The Key West Fishing Tournament strongly encourages the release of game fish. All participating anglers receive certificates noting their catches and qualify for a variety of prizes.

The Studios of Key West presents International Art Show
The Studios of Key West kicks off its eleventh season of exhibiting the finest in local and international art by filling their galleries with work from around the world.On view at The Studios, 533 Eaton Street. Exhibitions can be viewed during normal gallery hours, Tues. through Sat. from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. A special opening events and a book signing will take place Thurs., November 2 from 6-8 p.m. during the First Thursday Gallery Walk.

The charismatic star of the Netflix original series “Bloodline” appears with his country and rock ‘n’ roll band – musicians Jason Laughlin and James Leahey – for one night only, 8 p.m., at The Studios of Key West, 533 Eaton Street. Proceeds benefit Hurricane Irma relief efforts in the extensive areas of the Keys that are still struggling to recover. Tickets $50 pp, $100 pp VIP, to be sold online. A silent auction w/ Bloodline and Jimmy Buffett memorabilia to be featured as well. All contributions received by The Studios in conjunction with this event will be disbursed through the FL Keys Emergency Relief Fund at the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys.

Enjoy this film presentation’s screening, from Grammy-winning guitarist, producer Paul Nelson. A near constant presence at the side of rock and blues legend Johnny Winter in the last decade of his life, Paul Nelson is widely credited with helping Winter find himself again, and for prompting a remarkable resurgence in the aging star’s career after the 1990′s found him in deteriorating health and performing far beneath his potential. “Down and Dirty” documents a year on the road with Johnny Winter during his re-emergence, a period leading up to the star-studded 70th birthday bash in Times Square which would be his last.
