Key West Fishing Tournament

More than 40 species of fish are targeted during these months, with divisions for men, women, junior anglers (ages 10 to 14) and Pee Wees (under 10 years old). The Key West Fishing Tournament strongly encourages the release of game fish. All participating anglers receive certificates noting their catches and qualify for a variety of prizes.

26th Annual Parrot Heads in Key West, Meeting of the Minds
Several thousand fans of singer/songwriter/author Jimmy Buffett, known as Parrot Heads, make an annual pilgrimage to the subtropical island that inspired many of Buffett’s hits. Parrot Head club members focus on charitable, environmental, educational and humanitarian activities. Highlights include concerts by Buffett band members and friends, plus notable “trop” rockers. While most events are open only to registered Parrot Heads, the public is invited to the musical Margaritaville Street Fest on famed Duval Street.
Sugarloaf Showdown Inshore Fishing Tournament

Hosted by the Lower Keys Guides Association to benefit the Guides Trust Foundation, this new inshore two-person team tournament targets barracuda, bonefish and permit. Open to all anglers and guides. Headquartered at the Sugarloaf Marina, and social events at the iconic Sugarloaf Lodge Tiki Bar.

The Studios of Key West presents International Art Show
The Studios of Key West kicks off its eleventh season of exhibiting the finest in local and international art by filling their galleries with work from around the world.On view at The Studios, 533 Eaton Street. Exhibitions can be viewed during normal gallery hours, Tues. through Sat. from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. A special opening events and a book signing will take place Thurs., November 2 from 6-8 p.m. during the First Thursday Gallery Walk.

Zonta Club of Key West’s 25th Annual ABC 5K Walk/Run

This annual run raises money to provide free women’s health screenings and services to uninsured or under-insured women in the Lower Keys. All funds raised stay in the Florida Keys community. The race starts at 8 a.m. at Salute on the Beach, 1000 Atlantic Blvd.

Key West Artisan Market: Brewfest Edition
Brewfest features local and craft breweries with tastings along with our very best local artists. Artisan Market dates have been set for Sundays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., every three weeks (except Easter), at The Restaurant Store. Bring your own bags.

36th Annual Key West World Championship Races
Super Boat International returns with teams from all around the world who compete April through October in the National Series Points races and conclude in November for the famous Key West World Championships. High-speed offshore powerboats race in Key West Harbor and surrounding waters to continue Key West’s longstanding tradition in this annual challenge, known internationally as the Indianapolis 500 of powerboat racing. A portion of the 6.5-mile course runs through Key West Harbor, meaning smooth water where racers can achieve speeds above 140 mph and provide fans breathtaking displays of skill and power.

Key West Theater presents: Ottmar Liebert
With his engaging mix of subdued flamenco guitar and South American percussion, rock, jazz, and pop influences, German guitarist Ottmar Liebert’s “attitude” actually suppresses the more challenging and “dangerous” aspects of flamenco in favor of the romantic and the stylish. His feel for the music’s innate sensuality and a gift for creating memorable melodies helped to bring flamenco to the mainstream. Show starts 8 p.m.
