Third Annual University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame Celebrity Dolphin Tournament

Hosted by Ray Lewis, this annual event invites you to fish with some of your favorite former ‘Cane All-Stars! Cash prizes for the heaviest dolphin, a charity auction and more highlight the one-day tournament. Headquartered at Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina. Entry fee $550 (after May 1) for up to four-angler teams; $100 per additional angler. Proceeds help benefit Upper Keys Habitat for Humanity and UMSHOF, The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.

Out-of-town contestants who have never been to the Florida Keys before are to be teamed up with local contestants – and they will all be competing in various water and land activities in the Marathon area. This week marks the first round of fun! There will be three weeks of competition. Each week will consist of five different pairs of contestants. Everyone will compete in Florida Keys activities – including fishing, snuba, parasailing, and other activities. The winners of each week will face off for a Final Week of competition to determine the overall winner of The Marathon Games TV Reality Show – 2013. Visit the website or Like the Games on Facebook.

Marathon / June 29 – 30

13th Annual Dolphin & Blackfin Tuna Fun Fishing Tournament

Top prizes of $700, $350 and $200 await individual adult anglers who catch the tournament’s three heaviest dolphin, with additional cash awards for the heaviest blackfin tuna and wahoo. Headquartered at Burdines Waterfront, the challenge is open to adult and junior anglers.

  Gay Key West Trolley Tour

Enjoy a fabulous tour of Key West…with a twist. A gay twist that is! Get a unique tour of Key West and learn about our colorful history that includes the famous and the infamous. Key West Fishing Tournament

More than 40 species of fish are targeted during these months, with divisions for men, women, junior anglers (ages 10 to 14) and Pee Wees (under 10 years old). In an April kickoff event, anglers target 15 species and $5,000 in cash prizes is split between the top anglers.

Key West ART Garden

Come enjoy large outdoor masterpieces made by local artists. Each piece is crafted from recycled materials and fits into the natural beauty and backdrop of the Gardens. On Saturday, May 4, an opening reception is planned, to highlight the special exhibit which runs through July; meet the artists and enjoy a self-guided tour, refreshments are to be available; free entry to the opening reception, set for 3-5 p.m. Located at 5210 College Road.

Mercury Marine Ladies Dolphin Championship

Female anglers have seven ways to win, and $10,000 cash and prizes await — the one-day tournament offers a top boat prize and awards to the top five anglers. A $3,000 prize is awarded the heaviest single dolphin, second place receives $1,500 and third place $500. A boat prize of $2,500 is to be awarded the team for the heaviest aggregate weight of two dolphin. Entry fee is $400, and tournament proceeds benefit the Jose Wejebe Foundation.
