The Florida Keys / October 15 – May 15
Stone Crab Season
Those succulent claws, brought to shore fresh daily from the waters surrounding the Florida Keys, will drip with mustard dip on the chins of hungry locals and visitors. A series of food festivals during the season celebrate the sustainable seafood resource throughout the Keys.
The Upper Keys:

Key Largo / November 29 – December 2
A North American B-25H Mitchell “Barbie III” will be one of the featured attractions, as well as the now-privately-owned Honey Fitz, President Kennedy’s 92-foot motor yacht. The four-day celebration of antique and classic aircrafts, automobiles and yachts brings together those who own and appreciate these conveyances, with a full schedule of social gatherings that include a tailgate party, road rally, champagne and ice cream social, fascinating lecture, vintage aircraft aerobatic show, dinner dance and awards presentation. Though the Ocean Reef Club is a private member-owned community, non-member guests are invited to the Vintage Weekend. Reservations are required.
Islamorada / November 29 – December 2
The first leg of the triple-crown Florida Keys Gold Cup Championship Series is characterized by high-flying sail action, conservation and sportsmanship. It’s also the only tournament in the Gold Cup series to offer a junior division for anglers aged 16 and younger. Unlimited anglers are allowed per vessel.

Marathon / November 23 – December 15
When Bridget decides to spend the summer before law school with her sweet grandmother it turns into an experience she’ll never forget. Nana is running an illegal lingerie boutique for the over-60 crowd from her rent-controlled apartment. She has to keep it secret from the landlord who wants to evict her, as well as the handsome policeman who is smitten by her granddaughter and regularly checks in on Nana. Marathon / November 30 – December 2
A middle Keys event that is chock full of food, beverage, regional vendors, music and entertainment for the entire family to kick off the holiday season. The three-day event is to be headquartered at Hawks Cay Resort, located on Duck Key; festival hours are Friday 5-10 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Highlights include a lighted boat parade, delicious treats and cocktails, Christmas-themed competitions and an opportunity for a picture with Santa in his casual Keys attire.

Key West / January 01 to December 31

Key West / March 17 – November 30
More than 40 species of fish are targeted during these months, with divisions for men, women, junior anglers (ages 10 to 14) and Pee Wees (under 10 years old). In a March kickoff event, anglers target 15 species and $5,000 in cash prizes is split between the top anglers.

Key West / November 21 – December 31
Live holiday music, games for the kids, holiday cheer and a chance for photos with Santa highlight this event along the historic harbor walk linking colorful seaport restaurants, bars and businesses at the Key West Bight. Created as a gift to the community, the gala is produced by the Key West Bight Preservation Association and tenants of the Key West Bight. Key West / November 29 – 30

Key West / November 29 – December 2
Showcasing films that exhibit excellence in storytelling, the festival’s lineup is to feature screenings and special events hosted at landmark venues throughout Key West, including the Tropic Cinema and San Carlos Institute. The four-day program is to include more than 30 films from multiple genres and categories as well as social events with filmmakers, actors and film lovers. Program highlights include a directorial debut from Dustin Hoffman in Quartet, a first-in-Florida premier of Journey to the Planet X and many more screenings whose impressive lineups of actors include Clive Owen, Sissy Spacek, Olympia Dukakis, among others.
Key West / November 30 – December 2
A vibrant three day festival and art walk celebrating all of the arts in Key West: visual, performing, literary, film, musical events, performances and exhibitions. Galleries are to have extended hours and exhibitions. Art and culinary pairings are to be offered in local restaurants as well. More information to follow.

Key West / November 30 – December 2
Experience three days of piracy as Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park transforms into a British stronghold defending her shores against an invasion of pirates. Step back in time to encounter piracy from 1675 through 1825 with pirate encampments, living history demonstrations, live battles, activities for the kids, and more, from 10 am. to 5 p.m. daily.
